This workshop will:
Set expectations on life in the US
Familiarize families with American culture
Identify the family’s own values and communication styles and compare these to the American values and communication styles
Help families understand the various stages of cultural adaptation
Create strategies to deal with cultural adaptation
Provide practical advice on living in the US, the education system, and how to navigate American bureaucracy (SSN, bank account, credit cards, drivers license, etc)
